Mark Renton, Sick boy, Spud y Alison viven juntos en un piso de un barrio pobre de Edinburgo, junto a Dawn, el bebé que Alison tubo con uno de ellos. Viven para drogarse y todo lo que hacen tiene un único motivo: conseguir más droga. Renton se plantea dejar las drogas y hacer vida normal (ir de bares, jugar al fútbol) pero su vida sin drogas le aburre de tal forma que decide volver a ellas. No cuento más sobre la trama por si no la habeís visto.
Sólo decir que es una película genial, trata temas tan reales como las drogas de manera dura pero a su vez le da un toque fantástico (como la escena del Wc) hasta tal punto que no sabes si lo que estas viendo es real o forma parte del delirio que las drogas causan al protagonista
